"I noticed that a lot of the feedback was from people who didn’t know what I was arguing" I've read that and this and I still don't know what you are arguing.

Thanks for commenting! A lot of people think that the idea is that we should somehow impose something on the Ukrainians; this isn't at all the idea. And there are also other confusions.

So what is the idea?

Regarding diplomacy? I obviously won't reiterate what I've written, since that would be a waste of time, but the idea is to facilitate rather than undermine diplomacy; doing nothing is better than undermining it, but facilitating is even better, which is why I condemn China's actions in the above piece.

Im not asking you to reiterate what you've written, because what you've written is unclear. You need to restate your position and not just throw out a bunch of quotes.

It is difficult to read what you are saying as something other than advocating that Ukraine surrender.

Regarding "surrender", see (A) and (B) in the piece above.

Has Zelensky asked the US to broker a deal?

See this quote from my very first piece about the war in Ukraine:

"Negotiations might succeed or might fail. The only way to find out is to try. Of course, negotiations will get nowhere if the U.S. persists in its adamant refusal to join, backed by the virtually united commissariat, and if the press continues to insist that the public remain in the dark by refusing even to report Zelensky’s proposals."

This is the statement regarding diplomacy from the State Department itself. I don’t see anything in there that indicates your statement above. It says in it “Diplomacy is the only responsible way to resolve this crisis. “

I also thought TheContrarian123 piece they shared had some good insights regarding diplomacy.

I don’t want to come across as someone trying to pick a fight. I enjoy your articles a lot, but on this issue most of the stuff I’ve read in the media indicates there is a diplomacy attempt going on, just not in the way Chomsky would want it to be.

Thanks for commenting! Make sure to read my previous pieces on Ukraine regarding the issue on the diplomatic front; that's what you need to respond to if you want to say that we're not blocking diplomacy, so that website isn't going to be relevant, since you need to respond to the argument that Chomsky and others have been presenting on this front.

Thanks! Sometimes people focus a lot on how probable a diplomatic settlement is, rather than focusing on the issue at hand, namely how hard we're trying; we should try our very best, but instead we're blocking diplomacy, so we need to change our policy and start doing our very best.
